Black Poplar Babisnau

The black poplar of Babisnau is over 200 years old. It was struck by lightning once, which damaged 1/3rd of the tree. The hole, where the lightning struck is covered by a plate. The tree has suspensions supporting it. Legend tells, if the tree was in flower it signaled the end of an ongoing war and the beginning of a new peaceful period.
